Achieving a healthy balance between your mind, body and spirit is crucial to a happy life. When you wake up and instead of putting your finger to your ear and pressing the speakerphone button, place it right next to your heart and feel the rise and drop of your pulse and the feeling of your breathing as it enters and exits your body. It is the first step in achieving a healthy balance between your mind, body and spirit and when you are able to maintain this balance each day your body will be healthier and have greater energy.
Connect with Your Body - When you wake up, place your head in your hands and listen to your breathing. Breathe deeply and slowly as you imagine what your body feels like. You may even want to listen to yourself singing your favorite song or play an instrumental for meditation. When you are connecting with your body use your imagination, you can create your own reality that is completely different from the one you are experiencing at that moment. Connect to Your Spirit - If you are trying to achieve a healthy balance between your mind, body and spirit use a mantra or prayer as a way of connecting with your spirit and creating a peaceful space for yourself. If you find yourself stuck in your rut, visualize a flower blooming or a bird flying over you and repeating a prayer or mantra as you breathe and visualize your thoughts and feelings as well. This creates a place where you can be fully connected with your mind, body and spirit. If you are looking for a way to connect with your spirit, consider doing this exercise daily and your mind, body and spirit will be fully supported. Connect to Your Mind - Begin by meditating on the top of the head and as you relax the muscles in your head, feel your thoughts moving around your mind and becoming conscious. When your mind is relaxed, begin to focus on each thought and visualize the image that you have created for your mind and focus on that thought. If your mind is thinking of pain, visualize your pain healing your body and focus on it. Visualize your pain melting away and replacing it with joy. As you continue your exercise you will become more aware of your thoughts and feelings and they will flow through you and connect with your entire body. Connect to Your Mind - Start by focusing on the color green, imagine your entire body as green and relax your mind and body, feel your mind entering into the colors of green. and feeling the strength of your thoughts and feelings moving through your mind. When you are connecting with your mind and body, imagine that you are breathing in the color green and filling your lungs with the love of nature. Connect to Your Heart - If you want to connect with your body's physical healing power connect with it by breathing in the color of red. envision your entire body as red and fill your lungs with the energy of this color.
